Daniel G. Sheldon
Daniel G. Sheldon is a partner with the firm. Mr. Sheldon has extensive trial experience in complex state and federal matters. Mr. Sheldon’s experience includes litigation and trial of complex business and personal injury lawsuits, including construction accident cases, products liability, professional negligence claims (including medical malpractice, and agent’s and broker’s malpractice cases), trucking accidents, bicycle accidents, insurance coverage suits, “bad-faith” claims, and employment discrimination cases.
Mr. Sheldon has personally handled in excess of 500 cases in his career and brings a wealth of knowledge of the laws, procedures, and intricacies necessary to win the complex civil case. Mr. Sheldon graduated from the University of San Diego where he obtained his undergraduate degree in Political Science in 1990. He obtained his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Whittier College School of Law in May 1993 and was admitted to the practice of law that year.
Mr. Sheldon has been given an “AV” rating by the Martindale-Hubbell organization. This is the highest rating that can be conferred upon an individual attorney or law firm. The “AV” designation shows that a lawyer has reached the height of professional excellence, skill, and integrity.
Mr. Sheldon resides in Los Angeles, California, with his wife Lynn and their two daughters. Mr. Sheldon’s interests include snow skiing, bicycling, and cheering for his daughters at softball and volleyball games.
Harry Frank Scolinos is the founding partner of Scolinos, Sheldon & Nevell. He is a trial lawyer who has represented plaintiffs in serious injury cases for over 35 years. He has tried over 100 civil cases to verdict, judgment or binding arbitration award and is a member of the multi million dollar advocates forum.
Mr. Scolinos and his wife Connie have been married for over 40 years and have 5 children and 11 grandchildren. He graduated from California Polytechnic University, Pomona in 1966. He then served as an officer in the United States Army where he was awarded the Bronze Star Vietnam Congressional Medal and then worked for a United States intelligence agency. Thereafter, he attended Whittier College School of Law, where he received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) in 1974.
Mr. Scolinos has served on the State Bar of California – Tort Litigation subcommittee, Los Angeles County Bar Association- Tort Law Section, Judge Pro Tem for the Los Angeles Superior Court, American Trial Lawyers Association (ATLA), Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC) and American Arbitration Association (AAA).
Mr. Scolinos has served on the board of directors of The Braille Institute, Youth for Christ, Door of Hope, Walter Hoving Home and Lake Avenue Congregational Church. He was a major party candidate for a seat in the United States Congress in 2004 in the district serving the Pasadena area.
Todd Nevell is a partner with Scolinos, Sheldon & Nevell. He is recognized as one of the top trial attorneys in Southern California in plaintiff’s personal injury litigation. He has tried over 50 civil cases to verdict, judgment or binding arbitration award. As a result of his courtroom success, Todd was named a Southern California Super Lawyer “Rising Star” by Law & Politics and Los Angeles Magazine in 2004, 2005 and 2006.
Todd has tried and won numerous noteworthy cases on behalf of individuals in a variety of different areas of law, including, wrongful death and other catastrophic accidents, negligence, construction site accidents, sexual abuse, medical malpractice, employment discrimination, defamation, products liability and complex business litigation. Some of his recent case results include a $10 million settlement on behalf of a burn victim against a public entity and a $5.3 million wrong death verdict in an electrocution accident (which is believed to be the largest wrongful death verdict in the history of Monterey County).
Todd graduated from California State University, Chico in 1990 and from Whittier College School of Law in 1993. He was a member of the Whittier Law Review.
He has served on the Barrister’s Executive Committee of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and is a member of the Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC), Consumer Attorneys of Los Angeles (CAALA) and American Trial Lawyers Association (ATLA).
